Social Security Administration: Benefits available for eligible persons include Disability and Supplemental Security Income.
Pennsylvania Department of Human Services: Assistance available for eligible persons includes the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) to help low-income households buy food, as well as Cash Assistance, Medical Assistance/Medicaid, and LIHEAP. Call the PA Department of Human Services HelpLine at 1-800-692-7462 for general information about all of Pennsylvania's public assistance programs or contact your local county assistance office.
LIHEAP (Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program): Provides funds to offset your gas and electric bills.
DOLLAR ENERGY FUND: Provides help with paying energy costs including a Customer Assistance Program (CAP), a Hardship Program, help with LIHEAP, Water Assistance, and others.
